Argentine Tango

Tadayoshi discovered Argentine tango in 2019 during a trip to Buenos Aires. He immediately learned both roles in order to better master this improvisational technique and explore the relationship between leader and follower.

He regularly teaches workshops across Europe to promote the practice of both roles. An active member of Tango Queer.

Queer tango is an approach to Argentine tango that challenges traditional gender roles. By dissociating the roles of leader and follower from gender, anyone can lead or follow, regardless of sex or sexual orientation.

It is both an artistic and social practice fostering creativity, connection and freedom of expression, and an inclusive movement advocating for equality and diversity in the milongas. Queer tango prioritises relationship, improvisation and connection between partners over gender.
